Grand re-Opening 2012
Would you believe that we went throught the entire weekend and forgot to take photos?
We had some great food from 3 of the best chefs in Mentone (see photos below), had visitors from Birmingham, Gadsden, Henagar, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Chicago, California, Kentucky, Scottsboro, and Huntsville. We renewed some old friendships and made several new acquaintances. We sold a few of Joyce's paintings, some from our other artists, and one of the neat gourd bird houses.
We had balloons out front, one Happy Birthday (for Joyce), one Happy Father's Day (for me and other fathers), and one smiley-face for Happy Summer. I think we're becoming known as "the cabin down the road with the balloons out front." That's fine! We plan to continue putting new balloons out front every weekend when we're open.
The rooster door prize went to a lady from Dawsonville, Georgia and the landscape to a lady from Atlanta, Georgia. We're hoping they and their friends come back to visit again later this summer.
That's about all that's worth saying ... photos below are some that we took two days after the opening, when we realized that we had none from the event.
